Oh my, this is magnificent. And for some very odd reason it makes me think about the breast cancer logo. I haven't figured out why.
I love the figure and the beam of light that just makes the scene, giving you a diagonal.

After reading all of the other comments, I don't know what else to add. Looking at this photo before reading the comments I thought that these people were so caught up in their conversations, they didn't even know that you were aiming a camera at them. I'd love to be eavsdropping on those conversations. What is the guy in the upper left describing...what is the girl saying to the guys that must be very amusing. Besides being an interesting photo, the b/w conversion is good, and the square crop works well.

Great candid shot. Everyone seems to be so engaged except the girl who seems a bit bored or maybe engaged looking at the dog. I can almost hear the voices. Perfect amount of contrast.
