1by RetroesqueComment by pixelpig: What would the trees be without their sky, the air? The color of the sky looks so metallic, so unreal, that I can only assume this is exactly what you saw. The vignette -- or spotlight -- effect (something I don't usually care for) serves the tree very well in this comp. Well done! |

I'm glad you have favorite trees. So do I. Like the feel of this shot ... soft (crankiness disguised).

wot a buggar to have cranky neighbours .. that would be the pits .
the tree and your processing, especially after your comments, gives me the feeling of gnarlyness and reaching out to grab you .. some of us are more sensitive than others and with neighbours like that it might be difficult to divorce yourself from their negative vibe .. hopefully the fence cuts out some of the power .. :) |

The 'emotive' feeling I feel in this image is quite amazing. The wonderful tones also help to give this tree a special place in my heart. |

It has a "bonsai" feel to it, maybe it's the negative space. Did you get the sky color in camera or PP? Just curious... |
