Frenzyby wingyisleedsComment by adine: The title is perfect - it is a photo of Frenzy! I like the composition of the grey and black in the background making a nice canvas for all the movement. |

Friendsby wingyisleedsComment by adine: This is a lovely shot - I like the honest happy expressions on their faces, the way their heads lean in towards eachother, the light that feels so full of hope. Nicely caught! |

Road to....by wingyisleedsComment by adine: I love the colors in this shot. I find the composition a bit unsettled - with the road squished into the corner, but that give me a sense of movement - which is appropriate for a road. I would tweek it just a bit - crop our the pole on the right (or close it out) and crop a bit on the right so that the stone wall come right to the corner. Would like to see a little more detail in the shadows too. |

Maddieby wingyisleedsComment by JamesKW: I sweet family shot. Harsh sunlight is hard to shoot in. The lighting on the face could be a little better. I like the light thru the hair. The bad thing about bright sunlight is it tends to bleach out the colors. |

My daughter's best friendby wingyisleedsComment by lovethelight: This is a really cute photo, great model and his face is priceless. However, because the sun is behind him it really darkens the precious look on his face and so the picture doesn't have quite the effect it could have. You can use a reflector to reflect the sunlight coming from behind him onto his face so that you still get the highlighting effect of the sun while getting better lighting on his face. I did that in this portrait here. |

Mandaby wingyisleedsComment by Greetmir: I think the soft focus works just fine here but agree that there needs to be a bit more contrast or maybe dragging down the curves at the bottom end a bit for more drama ...
OK ... I tried it and the contrast doesn't work but the curves adjustment DEFINITELY does IMO. I just pinned the centre of the curved down and dragged down the bottom end a touch (which with the s curve drags up the highs just very slightly) and spot healed a couple blemishes (don't know if you prefer au naturel or not) ... I hope you don't mind me messing with it but wanted to show you the results of my suggestion ... I think it lifts her face WELL off the background.
