Critique Club Review:

I'm not sure what this is, but many purists would call it a subject. You have a couple of objects competing for attention. The massive object wins, and the light pole jutting in from the top winds up as a distraction. Part of the low scores could also come from so much dark area in the picture, with a featureless sky as a background. The picture does have almost a monochromatic feel, which I like, and which could be played up, perhaps with a bit different shapes.

didn't see the movie, not scoring on that. Yes it is a light but is it interesting? You might want to think about the next questions.
Is there a reason I would want to look at this instead of looking out my own door and seeing a real light?
What can you do to make it so it's not something I see many times everyday?
How can you make it new to me?

The angle of the light post is throwing me off a little. I like the lines in the shot though (literally the power lines).

I̢۪m afraid I don̢۪t know the film you are referring to, so I don̢۪t know how well this image represents it. I don̢۪t think all the blank sky above the pole helps and I would be tempted to crop it off.

The lines leading through the shot give the photograph good *motion* and I like that you didn't overexpose the bulbs. Unfortunately, while I like minimalistic shots, this one is just not that interesting to me.
