Ya gotta love guns! Ain't nothing better for shootin' stuff! The two cartriges alone don't offer much interest. I would suggest more dramatic lighting, more of an angle and possibly part of a shotgun in the background

Nice lines, curves and composition but lots of color noise that is distracting from the b&w. Still and excellent image and I'll assume that the color noise was a choice thru a filter use.

There seems to be a lot of dead space in this photo that is just black - it's a fascinating choice, to take it in the dark, and I'd have liked to see the flames and whatever is being sterilized fill the frame more completely.

I'm really interested to find out what the title means. The focus is good, DOF is great, light is about just right. Color and sharpness could maybe be a little better for me, but it's somewhat subjective - I can see the appeal in it.

Hi David. I love this Eclectus shot. Very cool bird. You captured an interesting pose. Personally, I like the sparkle in his eye...I don't see it as distracting. It is just the right amount. Without it, the round eyeball would look flat. My eye is immediately drawn to the bird's eye, then the beak. My eye moves around the photo in a fluid motion. A very successful and beautiful photo.
