Line of Sightby JPRComment by elemess: It's great that everyone in the foreground is looking toward that one kid. But what is everyone else looking at? B&W is a good choice to remove clutter and help focus the viewer. |

Red Rock Jeep Adventures by JPRComment by JPR: Originally posted by theMilkMan: YES I DO THINK IT WOULD BE A BETTER PHOTO WITHOUT THE JEEP IN IT. WITH THE JEEP IN IT, THE IMAGE BECOMES AN ADVERTISEMENT, AND HAS THE AURA OF THE ADS YOU SEE FOR JEEPS IN MAGAZINES. YOU THINK YOUR IMAGE IS BETTER WITH THE JEEP IN IT BECAUSE YOU'VE SEEN PROFESSIONAL SHOTS IN ADVERTISEMENTS AND ON TELEVISION THAT LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THE ONE ABOVE. ALSO, I FEEL THAT A PERSON WHO WOULD CONNECT MORE WITH A JEEP THAN THEY WOULD A PERSON TO BE AN EXTREMELY SHALLOW PERSON. but whatever you're into. you seem to know what people will vote up, and i guess i'm the only one who has a problem with what this image represents. |
No need to yell. My point was only that from a photographic point of view I felt as if the shot needed a focal spot (the jeep). I admitted that a person would have worked as well. I feel as if the photograph would have been empty without something there. I understand that you are against advertisement. I enjoyed my time in the jeep and had no problem portraying that. I don't personally sell jeeps but I don't have a problem with anyone that does. Sorry to upset you. |

Sunset Strollby JPRComment by Beautiful-Joe: Picture is fantastic! The orangish combination of the tiger and the sunset are excellent. Though, looking closely at it, there are some green and pink shades that blotch over the photograph. Pardon me if this was meant to enhance the photograph. If not, the flaw looks like something that lies entirely in the sunset. No fault of the photographer's. |

A Toast to the Kids of the Worldby JPRComment by just-married: bump to 8.
I like it better without the adult's hand in the background. I know that alters the meaning of your title, bu tthe hand just kinda floating there with no interaction doesn't add anything meaningful to the shot for me. The child is beautiful and the processing in the image is just beautiful. 7 |

Got Fries?by JPRComment by mycelium: the title appeals to my sense of humor. for comparison, I have a photo of a snake in my portfolio titled "do you play croquet?" sometimes a bit of irreverence is most welcome. |
