the title appeals to my sense of humor. for comparison, I have a photo of a snake in my portfolio titled "do you play croquet?" sometimes a bit of irreverence is most welcome.

FWIW, I gave this an 8 - I obviously ignored the title. :-)

Maybe you might have called it, "Deerly Beloved". Forgive me, that's awful. You know, you were in a difficult position because the name on the stone is sooo prominent. So it feels like the title should address that and not only the deer, in fact, it should connect the stone (or the graveyard) and the deer. Some other probably too-silly things might be - "Thought I saw a Ghost" or "Reincarnation as a Doe".

This is a gorgeous photo, as are many others in your collection. I wish you luck with your title issues.

Oh wow. What a great coincidence! The post editing filter really enhances the detail of the deer as well as the tombstone.

Wow, what a great picture! I can only think this was voted down because fo the title, because the picture is un-faultable.

This was one of my favorites in the challenge as well, I gave it a 10. I agree that it should have finished much higher.

Agree with Sher, this was one of my top picks.
The only thing I don't like is the title.

This was my top pick of the challenge

Doesn't deserve to be 47th

I think the voters got a little confused and voted down a superb shot because they found it a little tasteless. I voted on the photography and still think it should be a ribbon pic.

I like the picture and have come back to vote on it several times. I didn’t understand the name until now. I would have liked it better the main subject was the deer and the head stones were the background. 8

I am making two passes on this Challenge. I will vote on your photo then return later(before voting is over) to comment on what I like and dislike about your shot. You can take the comments however you wish and I will try not to be mean. Just don't take it the wrong way.

This is a lucky capture. It is good. Just lose the border it is lost in the headstone on the right.
