The Old Wagonby NikonJebComment by bvy: The processing has produced unrealisitc textures and contrast. The composition is good, except it feels like a telephoto shot. Would like to see some separation between the wagon and the building. |

Livin' in the Limelight...by NikonJebComment by Paul: I am participating in the "Why a '5' not a '6'?" commenting activity (see recent forum thread). Viewers are asked to leave a comment with some of their votes of '5' letting the photographer know why, for them, it fell short of a vote of '6'. If you have found this comment useful, you may wish to offer some of your own to those images where you vote 5.
This is a nice flower image - I really like how well you've filled the frame but there are a few things that bothered me about it. I really like the round bokeh but that wide open lens has caused some chromatic aberration that was probably correctable, even if just through desaturation of cyan.
I do enjoy the focus on the stem but that prominent blurred petal that is enface probably hurts the image a little - I think a quick pluck of that wouldn't have gone amiss.
Overall, a nice idea but for me, executed with a couple of niggles. |

The Old Wagonby NikonJebComment by Germaine: There are a lot of interesting textures here, but they get lost in the overall gray tone of the shot. Needs some blacks. |
