From a DPC point of view, this will probably not fair very well because it is overly dark and not too sharp. I like it because the lack of tonal range creates intrigue and draws the eye in, in a way that is appropriate with the content of the image. nice job. 10

Too dark. Go with longer exposure on tripod or if no tripod, set the camera on something and use the delayed function.

Back to comment. I'm sure other commentors have mentioned that this image is a bit on the dark side. Although the subject meets the challenge, there is nothing in this picture to hold the view's attention for any length of time.

ok, the dog's in motion, but there's not much here to really make the image work. it may be that your camera is not best suited for this type of shot (the image could be a lot sharper). as for adding interest, maybe if you had shot it from the ground up, you would have lost the distracting background.
