Through the door to nowhereby bergiekatComment by jonfrommk: Love the simplicity of this shot, tones and contrasts are wonderful and it takes a lot of skill to make a picture out of nothing. Maybe (just maybe) I would have tried to clone out the handle, but this is just a very minor tweak rather than anything major |

Emily-bw.jpgby bergiekatComment by PapaBob: Nice pose, I like the head band it gives the shot character. Would like to see a color version.
I agree with redjulep about the eyes, she appears to be squinting in the picture and having her open her eyes more might make it look more natural, I also realize it may be a very natural look for her in which case why change who she is. Message edited by author 2007-05-05 02:14:50. |

Emily-bw.jpgby bergiekatComment by Alicia: I love the tones on this one, as well as the clarity. It's a beautiful portrait. The girl's expression is a bit puzzling. She may be just squinting against the light, but it looks like she might be getting ready to cry, too. Regardless, it's a very good photo. |

Through the door to nowhereby bergiekatComment by noraneko: I love all the repeating lines and the small strip of sky on the side. What doesn't work quite so well IMO is the texture on the wall behind the door. A bit of Gaussian blur in that area might really help pop this? |
