The petals are just a soft, romantic background to that "action" in my imaginative little mind. So that's what I would emphasize; the perspective is perfect, I'd just want to keep the whole center from both flowers if possible.
There are all sorts of things you can try with cropping: putting the intersection point between the flowers on a rule of thirds, putting the exact center of each flower on a rule of thirds, cropping so there is an equal amount of space above and to the right of the centers and a different equal amount on the bottom and left, cropping so they are dead center (so to speak) with equal amounts of petal background on all sides, or whatever occurs to you. I often crop and re-crop several times before I find the one I like. You can also try rotating the image between 10 and 30 degrees to see if that makes the composition more interesting for you before cropping. Play; it's fun :-) |
