The white sheet in front of the cat is a bit distracting. Especially since it's so much brighter then the background. Maybe if it was a color that complimented the cat or the wall color, it would have worked better for me. I think you did a great job on focusing though. IMHO

You've inspired me with your photography. I recently got a D50 with a 24-85mm zoom and am enjoying the camera. I have also just purchased a used MF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 AIS on ebay for $40 (US dollars)and will have it shipped to me in about a week.

Any chance you could give me a few tips on using this MF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 AIS lens, since I won't be able to us it on the auto exposure setting or with auto focus. I hear it is a great lens, but I would like to know the best way to use it on the D50.

I just registered on dpchallenge a few minutes ago, so I haven't looked into posting any photos yet.
