You captured the detail on this tulip. The coloring is interesting. The background works as a natural back drop.
I agree that the crop is a little tight. But it's not major, more of a personal preference.
I think zoomed out or taking a step back, would have produced a better result.
Over all it's still a nice picture. Kind of like an identification picture in a flower book.
