Wind blowing snow off ridge at 12,000' elevation.by jimsappComment by dogz: Now that is one hell of a lens flare! Unfortunately it dominates the photo. I think you could have had a fantastic shot if it were possible to turn away from the sun a bit and sheild it from hitting the lens. (judging from where you were, it probably wasn't possible). |

Wind blowing snow off ridge at 12,000' elevation.by jimsappComment by snackwells: I really like the composition. Fits the challenge theme excellently.
Technical aspects a little weak, unfortunately since there is a significant amount of flare and noise. The overall detail seems to be a little soft. Still, if I squint my eyes and view from afar, I am breathtaken by this vantage. Well done on artistic merits. |

I'm orange with envy.by jimsappComment by Prof_Fate: You MUST tell me how you got a nice aquarium shot! I know salt water ones are MUCH brighter than fresh water, but with the moving fish i cannot get enough light to get the shutter speed to the point the fish are not blurry. I recently got a slave flash...perhaps i can try that...
Only 'complaint' is the yellow fish seems a bit grainy. |

I'm orange with envy.by jimsappComment by srdanz: My monitor's calibration probably isn't the best, but the fish leans towards green. I'll pretend it's yellow, though. Very nice photo, indeed. I like the contrast against the purple background. My eyes circle around the image, constantly discovering one interesting spot after another. The only thing that bothers me a little bit is that the yellow fish seems to suck on that corral on the left. I only wish it was a little above or below it. Solid 7. |
