Captive30by UbersteinyComment by Valdo: Not too fan of the vignette and it looks a bit dark on this monitor. Nice composition and great sky exposure. You need more light for the foreground IMHO. |

Working Shoesby UbersteinyComment by figaro: Far too out-of-the-box and sophisticated for voters - and I include myself in that. I didn't understand why it was 'odd' until you pointed out the third shoe! Kudos for a brave and clever entry and sorry I didn't score it higher! |

IMG_4487 copy.jpgby UbersteinyComment by Prof_Fate: Better posing than the first photo, but lighting is bit more rough but MUCH more interesting! The initial appeal of this image is much greater than the other. The BG works here!
You still have some fig leaf going on but they now look like a group instead a bunch of random people. Clothing is still an issue, but I like the guy in down in front! |

IMG_4479 copy.jpgby UbersteinyComment by Prof_Fate: lighting is very good. A tad hot maybe, but that's easy to fix and more of an opinion thing. Most noticeable in the yellow dress.
Posing could be better - guy in the blue shirt has his hands 'appearing from nowhere' on two other people, which is a flaw to be avoided. The girls in the center are doing a figleaf pose. The blue girl could have put her arm around the back of blue shirt guy and the girl next to her, etc. Hairless guy in getting lost in the back row. Purple striped shirt is doing better with his hands than green shirt guy.
AS to the BG - the fence post on the far right bothers me and would have been easy to hide behind a person or move them all over a bit. There is bright green grass coming in from between some legs and that's a bit distracting.
Overall not bad, but could be better. There isn't much 'connection' between the people - clothing, posing in sub groups or using props (tree, fence) would have helped that. |

Working Shoesby UbersteinyComment by bassbone: awesome shot - love it, love it, love it!!!!
my concern for you in this shot is that by hanging the horseshoe upside down, you have let all the luck run out of the ends... |

Working Shoesby UbersteinyComment by Kelli: Nice texture, but if the subject is the shoes, wouldn't that fit better in even? Still odd enough to be a nice job! 6 |
