Shoe Leather Express...Taking Him Where He Wants to Goby PHOTOCHlXComment by jmsetzler: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Photochix....
The challenge is met nicely with this photo... I particularly liked some of the images in this challenge that took alternative paths from the 'normal' modes of transportation that everyone would normally think about.
I think you did a good job of composing the legs/feet on the right hand side of the frame... that definitely works better than centering in a horizontal frame. I think this photo could also potentially be strong with centered legs/feet in a vertical frame, allowing the feet to fall on the bottom horizontal third line...
I think this composition could use a little color also... The skin tone of the legs stand out nicely, but if there was some other element of color here, i think it would benefit the image. Maybe some colored socks or something would create that little surprise element that makes the photo really jump.
I also think the shoe may be a little close to the bottom of the frame for comfort... A little extra breathing room there could strengthen the composition as well...
Keep up the good work :)

The Glowing Lightby PHOTOCHlXComment by thatguy: the idea was creative, other than that i think that this image could have used a lot of work, it is out of focus and the lighting is bad 3 |

The Glowing Lightby PHOTOCHlXComment by jaam: Nice idea that has partly come through, but I do think that the glass lamp need a bit of cleaning as it looks pretty dirty around th top. I also looks as though it might be a bit out of focus. I know that normally it good to compose a picture using the rule of thirds, but sometimes breaking the rule can help create better pictures, which might have been the case. |

The Glowing Lightby PHOTOCHlXComment by autool: You have attempted a very difficult shot. Low light on subject and intense light from the candle. This type of shot has to be taken with a very small f-stop and as long an exposere that you can use to keep the candle from being over exposed. As I said very difficult. 4 |

The Glowing Lightby PHOTOCHlXComment by Toddh: it might be wise to work on your focus..... please take this the right way, but surely you could see this was not sharp? could you not have re-shot it? |
