intense lines and deep groves and footsteps all lead us to the man alone on the dune - the brightness behind the subject overwhelms his face and that works well for me here providing even more emptiness

Is this a negative? Strange since it looks like a dark indoor picture with outside light, but it being negative would make the original light inside and dark outside, but the outside of the girl has detail. It must really be bright or overexposed inside. Interesting effect looking like you went to a lot of work to make a negative look like a positive.
