Hannah by the beach 1.jpgby DragonphenxComment by Melethia: While this may not have enough light on her face for a traditional "portrait", I think it's a lovely shot - it beautifully highlights her hair, and is quite nicely composed! |

Aila Kern.jpgby DragonphenxComment by gaurawa: That's a nice picture. You may want to include some corners in your pictures to add more interest to it.. like taking this picture from somewhat right so that you can use the right top corner... |

Acacia.JPGby DragonphenxComment by gaurawa: edited to elaborate on my comment
You will need to work on composition. remove distracting elements so that the attention is fixed on the subject only. the left top sky is one major distraction. Also a shallower dof will work much better here as background detail is not needed. I would prefer a tighter crop or more room, this somehow doesn't look balanced to me... Hannah by the beach 1.jpgby DragonphenxComment by gaurawa: That's a nice capture. Its not properly exposed for her face though. With this framing, the face occupies very small area and camera will not meter right. You want to spot meter the face, fix the exposure and frame, shoot |
