The Bustard in the Morningby krnodilComment by Bruce_the_Robert: That bird is looking right at you, wondering whether you want him to move out of the way so that you can take a picture of the grass. Then he thought he would stay; it's his home, after all. You can take the picture around him. Wonderful.
Having read the comments (something I only do after I comment), I agree; it's not a centered composition, and I keep following the flow of the grass. Thanks for not cropping that out. |

fade awayby krnodilComment by jmritz: Weeds and wildflowers and just plane old flowers are drilled into my scull after the Floral challenge last month, sad to see them go. |

The Bustard in the Morningby krnodilComment by quiet_observation: To me the composition is as much about the grass as it is the bird. If anything, I see it as a two-thirds/one-third arrangement. I would have been reluctant to crop and I'm a crop queen. |

The Bustard in the Morningby krnodilComment by levyj413: Ah, you got good stuff that day! I think it's a lovely shot, nicely sharp, with interesting textures and halo light around his head. I think the composition hurt the score, though. Dead center leaves my eye to wander around. I wonder how it'd look cropped in on the right? |
