an Apparitionby FastexposureComment by Artifacts: Very interesting concept and photograph. Fits the challenge topic exceptionally well. Technical quality is OK and soft background works.
The guy above and to the left of her head is a distraction. Because he is holding something unidentifiable viewers are attracted away from your main subject to speculate what that might be. Plus he looks like he is sticking out of her head. It is hard to put a finger on it but your model's pose is a little off. Her facial expression is fine for your intent; I think her her posture is wrong. She is very attractive but her slump distracts from her beauty and the quality of this fine image. |

The Korean Bellby FastexposureComment by muckpond: greetings from the critique club:
i think the asian influence of this shot is a great take on "zen." however, the number one thing that killed you here is the lack of focus in the shot. with a f-stop of 9, you should have been able to get pretty crisp, sharp lines in at least part of the image and i just don't see that here. focus is almost the first thing most voters look for, so i don't think the "soften" helps you here.
the other thing about this image that strikes me is the lack of contrastinessâ„¢. the tones are muted and pretty flat...i'd like to see you try to use more of the light to dark range especially in the part of the image that is stone. the overall gray doesn't do much to make the image pop. |

The Korean Bellby FastexposureComment by H700256: Seems a bit hazy to me. The image has a quiet serenity to it, that unfortunately is disrupted by the museum-like barriers. Not your fault, but it is a bit distracting. Nice photo. |
