The composition feels a bit out of balance here... Did you try this from different angles? the left side of the photo seems full while the right side seems empty...

Could be an interesting shot, but seems to be missing something. The equipment in the foreground seems to take center stage (both literally and figuratively) but it's obvious from the title we should be looking at the aircraft arresting cable, which is almost imperceptible. Also IMHO, the image might also benefit from a lower point of view.

This is a good shot. Shooting at a different time of day, ie. sunrise, sunset, or twilight, would have added that necessary wow factor. You did shoot in the golden hour and got nice light, but the sky isn't very interesting.
