Unusual entry from you Mita but really a grand shot in B&W. Knowing you Im sure you have reason for the way this image is presented here especially with regards to the F/g. Just love that sky with the soft cotton clouds contrasted with the harsh surrounds this tree is growing in. I suppose the O.o.f f/g enhances this harsh setting but I think the bokeh is also distracting and maybe thats what pulled it down other than noticing soem comments about the Lack of contrast - not so much a bother with me

I think blur in a static medium such as photography is good, even obligatory. Especially tricky to get the head still as you have done here. Not everything has to be crisp and clear. My recent Free Study achieved motion on wings and stationary head. Your man is not just holding on to the rail but he's moving up it, and the exertion and effort si shown on the stationary head. Flawed? Maybe. In the bad light and ultra high ISO grain is almost expected and we saw this in 400 ASA film. What's not to like that CCD's and CMOS's exhibit the same characteristic?
