Seems very purply tinged - is the bowl purple too ? The border probably re-enforces that. I'm not sure it makes it more appealing.

Good staging idea, would have worked best with some plainer looking preparation. There is too much similarity in and out of this circle to set off your salad well.

Interesting color play! Everything looks to be in good focus, I like the clearish bowl allowing the background in beneath. I do like the idea behind the background too, but with the low light it doesn't set the salad off as much as a different bkgrnd might. I do like the way the lavender/purple inner border ties the photo together. 7
