I like the path bending away, out of sight. I'd suggest lightening the image to make the dog's face visible - it has a mostly black face in near-shadow, and you can't see its eyes.

Nicely done. I love the black and white in the background as well as the dog. The nose is a little blown, but not as big of a deal in b&w as it would be in color. I also wish it was a little down so there wasn't as much space underneath and that the tip of the ear wasn't cut off. But it's still a 7 from me for the feeling of it.
