Interesting take on the challenge! I like this twist on the concept and I think it works very well. However, you seem to have over sharpened by quite a lot and it shows in the overprocessed highlights throughout the image as well as the unusually sharp edges of the tree leaves. Experiment with varying heights (vantage points) to see what works best vs only taking at standing eye level.

This picture reminds me of the Lord of the Rings, the Fellowship if the Ring movie, in the very beginning when Gandalf is riding through Hobbiton.

Interesting candid shot. Perhaps a tighter crop would focus more attention on the balloon and himself? The composition is pretty busy, make a shallower DOF would blur it sufficiently though.

forgive me for being dense, but i'm not sure how this meets the challenge. even though it is a killer shot, it seems to be more of a macro shot than a miniature.

Good bee shot. He is a skinny little fellow. Maybe it could eat more and put some weight on if it didn't keep getting disturbed by marcro photographers. Nice job.
