Very pure, beautifully-rendered light. I'm not sure the cropping is optimal along the top edge, but I can see how more of the brancj might have been objectionable too. Very strong entry.

Subject: Torn on this one. It is minimalist and well balanced due to crop, but seems less than interesting which detracts from the whole.
Concept: Good Idea, perhaps the division (space) between the two is what is causing me to not appreciate this image as I should.
Challenge: Bit too much detail in the top portion of the branch. Almost side-lit which does not lend well to the concept of a sil.

I like that you were able to capture the moon and generally a silhouette of the tree, but then there would be no moon if it was a truely backt lit. Other than that, I think it would be a really cool shot without quite so much space between the 2 objects. Perhaps a lower and closer point of view would have allowed this.
