I see what is meant here by grey. The photo overall needs a little more contrast maybe, making the eyes pop out by either focusing on the eyes, The DOF from the dog to the background is great, I love the blur, but I would prefer to see just a LITTLE bit more of the background, kind of to frame the dogs face. (really trying to make a good critique I hope it helps) 5

The tonality is very nice in this one, and I also like the negative space on the left. The house on the right makes the image feel a little "heavy" on that side, but a nice effort overall
