With that out of the way...it's an interesting (and creepy) image. It gives the impression that the cause of the wound lies just in the background where that black crescent mysteriously looms. I think there's a little disconnect between the thumb and the rest of the hand...the tone and texture don't feel like part of the whole, to me. Otherwise, all it needs is a really creepy title. :)

well this is a totally brilliant image .. i love the stark shadows and the sort'v mirror effect that the shadows create .. great design and negative space .. the strong contrast especially on the bricks highlighting their shape adds another wonderful element .. a perfect image .. it has a very nixter feel .. which is a total compliment .. coz he's EXTREMELY talented .. good luck in the challenge .. :)
