by nixterComment by krnodil: Makes me wonder about what was going on here at the moment of capture, was he aware of the camera, and trying to duck out of your shot? Was he deliberately posing, so as to place himself squarely under the graffiti? Did he spot a quarter on the sidewalk just at that moment? and on and on... I like the tones and moment of capture, the only thing that bugs me a bit is that, for this shot at least, with the serendipitous foreground action, I'd prefer the background to be a little more controlled and symmetrical - those stark archways are just screaming to be squarely placed in the composition. I don't always need that to be the case, so I'm not sure why with this shot I feel this way, but there it is... |

by nixterComment by Melethia: Another one to make me give up shooting altogether, and definitely processing. I love the way you've isolated the man and the car, and yet maintained an incredibly rich, alive, textured canvas on which to present them to us. |

by nixterComment by Melethia: Ah, my dear man. You sometimes make me want to give up shooting altogether because I know I can never do stuff like this. I want to - it just isn't there. But then I think maybe I should at least keep trying. This is something I'd expect to see (and may someday, who knows?) in a gallery. |
