Even though these are photos of a child waving a flag on a sunny day it has a bit of an ominous feeling to me. In the first photo part of the shadow looks like the child has a claw for a hand. In the bottom photo we can't see the child's face, it's like a shroud. It's almost like a sinister movie where people are forced to pledge allegiance to a country and ruler that is oppressive. I am sure if the photos were in colour I would not get these feelings. Very good work.
