I copied your image and brought it into Photoshop.
A healthy dose of sharpen using the unsharp mask added a lot of detail to the letters give it a try and see what you think! |

And I am certainly looking forward to your photos of Washington. I was only there for a weekend and didn't get to see much other than the usual tourist places. |
