Stoplight Foamby levyj413Comment by Nuzzer: Hi from the Critique Club.
Fit: They are indeed bubbles. No DNMC in this shot.
Composition: The composition is good. You've managed to get the image split into 3 areas with the middle running on a nice diagonal.
Technical: Given the subject you have done a good job. One could be picky about the fuzziness of some of the bubble edges or the distracting reflections in some of the bubbles but that would be nitpicking. There are some nice reflections and no areas are blown out. The lighting is fairly even.
Feel: The title confuses me a bit, how does it relate to the image exactly? While this is a good shot is doesnt "do much" for me. The 5.9 score reflects this I think.
PM if you have any queries. |

Right Down the Middleby levyj413Comment by eamurdock: Ah, the DC metro. I love it ever so... Can't wait to get back.
Nice shot - did you have a tripod or just a really fast lens? Compositionally I think it might have worked a little better with more of the escalator in the shot, but that's just one man's opinion... |

Right Down the Middleby levyj413Comment by Bruce_the_Robert: I like this shot, and it's a neat perspective, but the light in the lower center is distracting for me. I might have tried cropping off the bottom to really emphasize the symmetry in the image. |

Going Homeby levyj413Comment by ursula: This works for me. The image could be really static, but with the person there, and with the blur of the person moving, it works. I like it that the building lines sort of flow towards the right, and the person, even though walking straight ahead, seems to be moving to the right a bit (the head). ~9 |
