Definitely a good idea to post this in the Reaction Club. My reaction: She is moving from the light, coming back from playing in the brightness, and she really needs to concentrate to come back to this mix of darkness, shadows, lines and space. Maybe she'll go and visit again, but daddy's waiting, so she's trying really hard to get back before dinner . . .

i like the concept. i think it may look better horizontally oriented. plus, it looks like you lightened up the shoe's sole by the high concentration of grain in an otherwise clean photo - i think the sole would look better very dark than light and grainy...

I'm afraid that I like the original better... It's weird, but it takes a unique shot to "benefit" from the "grunge" overlays... I'm not sure this particular shot is a good candidate. Even so, this is a terrific shot- completely on its own merit. I'd stick with the "purist" editing on this one... (It's a great shot!) :-)

This is a really fun idea, i would have tried moving this setup neat to a window and allowing in some natural light so that the white balance would be more nature and perhaps you would not have to have had so much noise in the shot
