LOL. Simple, effective and clean composition. Caption captures the concept very well. Love the expressions and faces you created & put onto the pencils. That is what really makes the shot funny. Whether intentional or a lucky coincidence, I like how the rainbow swoop on the coffee mug 'seperates' the young pencils from the ol'timer pencil who lays outside the rainbow's boundry & slightly in shadow.

crop (why the alarm clock), angle (slight tilt of the mug to the left) and lighting (too flat) could be better, otherwise nice and effective -6

Good composition. I like how you have the song "Simple Pleasures" displayed on the ipod screen. Nice Touch. The black background is void of any specks which helps the ipod stand out even more. I am still working on having a spotless background.
