The image does come across as a bit soft. It makes it hard for the eye to stay at one spot in the image. (Which may have generated the moving comment.)

I really don't see a subject per-se. Don't mean there has to be one in an abstract challenge. Just a mention.

I think you did pick an interesting item to photograph, I do like the clean lines. I like the contrast too. In the areas where you can see through the feather, the background is a nice deep black. (Very nice)

About the only other thing I see is the border. It is a bit heavy in comparison with the lines of the feather. I would have liked either a thinner border, or better yet, a thin line in the middle of the border that was about the color and brightness of the feather.

Funny you should say that. Actually, none. I did run a pass on it, but it made the rails look unnatural, so didn't go with it. :o)
