You will probably continue to hear about the size of the photos until you have one side at least 640 pixels. If you need help with this look through this tutorial.

Nice ornament, but the lighting is too harsh and a perch that wasn't quite so busy with all of those branches sticking in every direction would also have helped improve the composition.

I agree with lynnesite that the tight crop was really effective. You've got a nice intersection of lines that draws the eye right to the subject. I think the only thing I'd consider on this is a slight warming filter (has a slight blue cast of the type that occurs when auto white balance is not corrected in cloudy or "open shade" situations). A very slight luminescense to even out skin on face would also enhance.
