Frost hydrant sweatby snafflesComment by h2: uninteresting subject, crop is too tight, focus should be more in front. at least it is almost correctly exposed. |

Everything but Nashby snafflesComment by Melethia: I love Roger's comment. :-) Dang fine looking horse, by the way. I think the horse under the neck made for a slightly awkward composition, and hay, like grass and stuff, is really hard to shoot without it looking either mushy or oversharpened. I do like the angle. |

Everything but Nashby snafflesComment by Haneck: A different point of view might have been nice here, for example you might have shot the horse from the front... just a though. But otherwise not bad! :) |

hotpastaby snafflesComment by stphw: good attempt at capturing fire in action. This is a nice setup - I like the pasta words on the plate - they've arranged well. The photo as a whole though is very grainy. I'm guessing you made the plate dark so that the fire stood out but I think you've gone a little too far - the camera needs some light to "see" - otherwise the noise comes through instead. More light also makes it easier for the camera to focus. Also, if you play with levels or curves or similar, you can increase the tonal range of your photo - instead of having a narrow selection of greys, you can have blacks, a huge range of greys and whites. Look at this tutorial for more info. |
