Don'tby fotomann_foreverComment by e301: Nice work here. I like the non-glamourousness of it very much, and the framing of the head with the flash reflection is a nice touch. I think, as a suggestion, a more rigorous crop might have paid dividends, though i can see your point with what you've done. |

Sheby fotomann_foreverComment by crayon: Leroy, your portraiture skills are remarkable!
And I see that your post-processing skills are amazing too.
Great work on the free study, and wow, I can't believe no NI was used!
The final result is stunning. |

Don'tby fotomann_foreverComment by posthumous: I love the prickly texture that extends from his skin through his hair to the highlight on the wall. Your title really refines the disturbing feeling of this photo, suggesting that photography itself is a form of abuse. 9 |

Don'tby fotomann_foreverComment by muur88: a "Tool" song comes to mind. dig the lighting and processing...don't dig the creepy, naked guy acting like a 5 year old...but hey it is your art. |

Don'tby fotomann_foreverComment by rinac: I typically do like grain in monotoned images, but I'm not sure it's done you any favours here. I guess it may be because I'd prefer to see 'flesh' as smooth and as something that would be wonderful to touch, but the overall feeling I get here is gritty and hard. I see you've softened the highlights somewhat (diffused glow?) and that does help to a certain degree. Also. I think your subject's pose and title match perfectly and do well to aid the viewer in believing the message you're conveying. Well done, if this is an sp, I think you are very brave. Cheers, Rina. |
