Day 4by tpbremerComment by MelonMusketeer: Nice POV for the subject, and the hanger wire being a home made thing caught my attention right off. I like the way the film makes diagonals across the frame with the receding perspective. It's been a while since I have seen film drying. Thanks for the memory refresher. |

Day 3by tpbremerComment by MelonMusketeer: Good idea to make this shot B&W. In addition to the other comments, I like the bit of sawdust in the foreground that seems to add to the effect of something going on. |

Day 3by tpbremerComment by pixelpig: Your treatment of the hands resulted in my eye being riveted by those knuckles. An interesting combination of the rough & the smooth. |

Day 3by tpbremerComment by JuliBoc: I pretty much agree with the group. The b&w is good. I also think the hands are a bit too light, but I realize you don't want the image to be flat and dull. |

DAY 2by tpbremerComment by pixelpig: Nicely done. Thanks for the interesting comments on yor process. I take it that your 'shooting eye' is the one in shadow "D . The only thing I can find to pick at is the catchlight in the eye, being right on the edge like that. |

DAY 2by tpbremerComment by tnun: Most intriguing - at least as much a composition, almost abstract, as a self portrait. At first I was going to say Why so serious? but now I see that is wholly irrelevant. Very very well done, and your desat is spot on. And thanks for showing the original and your steps. |

Day 3by tpbremerComment by bassbone: i like your choice to convert this to b/w - it really accentuates the details in the metal in the foreground, separates the hand from the other tan objects in the color version
i just wonder if the hands are just a bit too bright Message edited by author 2008-04-23 18:56:11. |
