First Comes Understandingby raishComment by Melethia: I think in a lot of cases people do not look beyond their own little worlds, which is quite sad. This is an exceptional take on the challenge and an enjoyable photograph to view. |

Breath's Entrance (catching barflies)by raishComment by tnun: Ah. While you sleep in Finland, your fame has spread high and low, blue and brown(ish). I haven't done the math, but I hope my vote is not responsible for your failure to brown again. T |

Breath's Entrance (catching barflies)by raishComment by tnun: This is of course brilliant and eminently commentable. The obviousness of the reference, the dogged faithfulness to the uber technique of blur, and the laid on thick delineation of the subject testify to the high standards of dpc. The stunningly coordinated frame has much to teach us about good presentation. Such earnestness and aesthetic integrity should be rewarded and hopefully inspire us all to avoid lighthandedness, offhandedness and sheer disdain in the future. 10 |

Across the Boardby raishComment by tootsweet: As an editorial or human intrest shot, this is nice. The "art" of the challenge was missed. I do, however, like this shot. |

Making My Entrance Again . . .by raishComment by MaryO: The white on white and partial frame from the railing are a very nice idea. I wish you had caught the cat a split-second earlier so that one ear wasn't cut off by the railing. As shot, I think this could have a little more impact if you cropped much tighter to just the cat's head (with the ear pointing to the upper left corner) and the inner curve of the curlicue on the right and a bit more on top and bottom, lightened the whole image, and dodged the eyes to bring out the catchlight in the shadowed eye and give a little more depth to the irises. |

Across the Boardby raishComment by Tiggr33: I find the background busy and distracting. I like the double use of B&W, and how you titled your image. |
