In fear of sounding a little too feminine, :P, i love the delicate play of the light on the subtle details on the ground.
There, i said it.

Also don't know if you dodged/burned, but if you did you did a great job, the slight highlights lead you down the path to where the subject lies.

You wouldn't want to eat it. I think it is skunk cabbage. If it is I can't believe how I have disregard converting it to black and white. What a great enhancement. Now I have to go out to shoot skunk cabbage again, and convert to black and white. You did a great job on all levels. Thanks for the inspiration.

I think I might have liked this if the if the snail shell was in the lower, left corner and spun a but to the left...maybe a natural flow to the wonderful texture the photo offers...JMHO
