Nice conversion Jack. I like your sepia tones. The one thing I find my self doing is trying to see around the tree. I find that it is blocking the beautiful depth of the photo, as I want my eye to follow the path of the water as far as possible.

The toning here is really nice, and gives a unique appearance to the shot, different than any other choice you could have made. The subtle appearance of the clouds in the sky along with the golden tones along the treeline make this shot flow really nicely.

stunning photograph ... so dramatic ... love the darkness ... excellent contrasts .. i love your composition and the way the sky is so dark and the way it balances so well the darkness in the foreground ... have you added to that darkness with a bit of burn or is this a natural phenomenon?? .. this image just loves black & white!!!! .. wondering wot method you used to convert to b&w ?? ... i would like to get such an excellent result .. and yes i know, you have to have an excellent photograph to start with !!:)

I agree with the others. This shot is more interesting...more alive. The hand with the cigarette adds to the composition. Tones, focus and bokeh are all wonderful!
