Good use of shallow DOF and diagonal lines. Also, both the foreground post and the antlers are quite sharp. However, I feel that the image needs more light on the in focus area, fill flash maybe.

I really like his expression, it's not a sad photograph! despite the pessimistic title and I love it. that smile on the man's face gives this title another meaning, something more optimistic, like somehting young is laughing at something old. really really great! and congrats on your PB! :)

This has a timeless quality to this strong imae. I also love the color contrast, between the golden yellows, and the bright blues of the water. Composition and croping really suit this image.....

I like this composition, as the strong vertical lines of the forrest, really stand out, amongst the autumn tones of the surroundbgs.
It is actually a picture perfect, calandar shot, IMO.....
