Fantastic choice of lighting! Brilliant! I wish the depth of field was deeper so the salt was clearer. The Constrast between the purple and green is amazing - it would have been nice to see the same contrast bewteen the salt and pepper.

It has, way too long. I've been spending countless hours looking at images from the last couple summers, just because of all the snow and grey. The purple/pink background looks unusual to my eyes, it goes really well with the yellow/orange of the petals. Beautiful repetition.

Added (after reading other comment): I disagree, not overall focus, but maybe focusing more on the front-most petals. What is in focus now are side petals, which makes the image "look" blurry. I think, if the front petals were in focus instead, and there would be no foreground blur, it might work better in this case. Something to try at least.
