Chain in the rainby bjoernComment by sfalice: Nice that you interpreted this in black and white. The starkness
and contrasts add to the interest. actually, lots here to hold the
view in the image. |

Chain in the rainby bjoernComment by ursula: Disgusting weather is good for pictures :) I like this. I like diagonals. It looks almost B&W (on my screen it doesn't look B&W, more like a very grey day with little bits of reflected colour). The image also feels almost minimalistic, not quite really, but on the way there.
The best part (IMO) of images such as this is that they're fun to look at just for the lines/shapes/textures/whatever; they serve as good studies for what you can do with shallow DOF.
The worst part (IMO) of images such as this one is figuring out what in the world you want to say with it. They are good studies, and good graphics sometimes, but how do you use them to connect to an audience. That's something that I really wish I could figure out.
Good work! |

Chain in the rainby bjoernComment by glad2badad: I like this. The shallow DOF and long fade add interest. Given that the focal point is near the bottom of the comp I think you could have gotten away with a different aspect ratio that shortened the length of the image (I have to scroll to see the whole image on my laptop).
Focus and clarity is very good and the B/W presentation works well for this subject. B/W range could be a touch darker on the Black end.
Overall, nicely seen and captured! :-) |

Chain in the rainby bjoernComment by MattO: An interesting Point of view, The focus point of the water drops is nice. I almost wish this was horizontal rather then vertical. I like the leading line that takes me from the focal point off the corner of the photo. A touch more contrast could be used in a few places. And I like the conversion to monochrome. |

Woman with Shadowby bjoernComment by K3Master: After trying out for the local dance troupe, Wanda realized that maybe this wasn't the actual casting agent. Suddenly, the idea to try out in the middle of the salt flats and the constant suggestion that it would be better without the clothes hit her. She wasn't going to be in Cats after all. |
