What a bucolic and tranquil scene. I know that cropping wasn't allowed, but after the challenge I think this would be stronger if the left side was cropped almost to the cow, and the right side ever so slightly to get rid of the tiny piece of a branch and the bright white thingy in the background. Still, a nicely captured slice of rural life. :)

Nice capture, but I think that you lost a good deal of interesting detail in the sky with you conversion to black and white. I really like the scene here, but the shadow over the eyes of the subject is very distracting. I like the feel of anger from both he and mother nature, but that shadow really hurt.
