silk1by KronusComment by LalliSig: I really liked the thumbnail, was kindof dissapointed when I opened it though, like I told you earlier I am a sucker for image quality so the noise and lack of clarity in this image doesn´t really do much for me... Really like the coloring though and if this was tack sharp, no noise and otherwise exactly the same with the blurred backround I think I would have liked this heaps :) |

Nikor Mud Cut (no grass) lens cap contestby KronusComment by SDW: From the Critique Club
I have taken a few hours to look at your take two picture and the original. I see that the original scored higher than your second shot. Even though your take two shot is technically good. Good focus, macro, and lighting.
IMO I believe you went for to tight of a crop. The lens cap seems to be forced into our face and takes up the majority of the page. Elements that were in the first photograph that made your picture look more realistic is omitted in this photograph and I believe that hurt your score some.
IMO a more open crop showing some of the vehicles wheel components and maybe part of the fender would of made this a great shot.
Keep up the good work and I hope you find the critique helpful. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
regards,
SDW |

silk1by KronusComment by sherpet: The thumbnail really popped for me when I first saw it, so this is the one I have to comment on.....it really looks like a silk screen, or even an "Japanese" etching, by one of their the "Masters". It seems to have a lot of "noise" goimg on in the image, but it really works for you, re this image. I also love the colortones as well..... Message edited by author 2006-06-13 03:40:09. |

Nikor Mud Cut (no grass) lens cap contestby KronusComment by Neuferland: Kronus, Hahaha, no grass, dang and here I wanted to get high! Just kidding. Okay, found the original in the Lens Cap Challenge and without a doubth is is an improvement but I think you cropped in just a bit too tight this time. No grass is very good but I would have liked to seen a little more tire tread and also the Nikon tilted the other way, not sure why but it's probably just me, LOL The original got a 6, this one gets an 8 :) |

Took a Stroll and Found Serenityby KronusComment by UrfaK: very picturesque.. Lovely and serene.. Too go a bit adventurous you could saturate the pic with a nice border or burn it up and highlight the colours in the pic. In any case a beautiful place to be in |
