I understand about wanting to take pics without people noticing. I'm too chicken and that is why you won't see too many in my portfolio lol. I love all the lines in this pic: The brick in the foreground, the wall in the background, and the wires coming in diagonally. I like the water - creates the sense of energy. And the black and white looks fine :)

Nice candid. The man looks very concentrated. There are a lot of bricks here (nicely sharp), but they take a lot of attention. Perhaps a little blurring of the bricks would help.

wonderful lighting on the water and bricks with just the right control of exposure

the level of details - the crossing lines, the depths of the bricks all provides the right level of complexity. it is funny how we get conditioned to only think simple images are good - i think complexity can work very well and you have done it here
