The Bridgeby svitalComment by decoteau: The color is perfect for this shot. I sort of expect Jimmy Stewart to pop out at any moment. |

The Bridgeby svitalComment by Olyuzi: Like this picture alot, but wish the tree on the left in the foreground wasn't there, which I feel disturbs the balance of the picture. Still will give a high rating. |

Bridge over Troubled Waterby svitalComment by jmsetzler: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
On a first note, I really liked this image. I also think it would have been a very powerful image without the tree branches in the foreground. The bridge itself is very beautiful and would have made an excellent photo on its own :) The curves and snow highlights on this bridge are quite amazing in my opinion :) The lack of color saturation really creates a nice wintery feeling... cold... somewhat somber. The 'somber' aspect of this image ties in nicely with your song title as well :)
On the technical side, I am wondering why you may have chosen the camera settings you did. I don't know if you were trying to introduce grain with the higher ISO setting or not, but there is very little or no grain at all in the image. In a normal situation, ISO 200 on this shot may have given you a 1/100" exposure length which could have created a higher black/white saturation in this image? Not sure...
Great shot and keep up the good work :)
