Not Worth the Effortby bspurgeonComment by ti_evom: Ok, that's just plain dumb. I don't think that whatever you wrote down should count against your shot if the original doesn't show the modifications you didn't make. |

Not Worth the Effortby bspurgeonComment by roz: buggar ben ... i got a dq once after i'd asked not once but twice for advice on processing .. jilted it was in the black and white in colour challenge ... i think in that situation bad communication was at fault, them assuming i knew stuff and me assuming that they knew stuff .. but neither of us did !!!
i wrote to them telling them to undo the dq coz they had said my processing was ok .. lol ...
anyway after heaps of emails back and forth i simmered down and accepted their ruling ..
but it felt bad, especially at first, partly because i thought other ppl would think i tried to break the rules .. mine was getting a 6.5 at the time of the dq & dont think i was heading for a ribbon or a HM like this one got ..
i know my dq was different from yours, but hopefully the sc'll see that the editing steps you sent in dont fit in with this image and revoke the dq .. then of course i'll go to the second page again .. lol .. !!! ..:) |

Untitledby bspurgeonComment by Ken: Very nice ghostly effect and I certainly would have scored this high. My only nitpick is that there isn't as much contrast around her head compared to dress area and she gets lost a bit in the background. |

Sophiaby bspurgeonComment by Ken: I guess I'm a bit late but congratulations! B&W just seems to suit the mood here. I will be shooting a newborn here soon (not mine) and I like this angle; I may just have to try it. |

Boy and Dogby bspurgeonComment by Melethia: This is striking - the look from the boy, the pose from the dog. Can you get just a wee bit more light (via post, of course) on the right side of the dog (left side of the photograph)? Just enough to pull the body a wee bit more from the background. |

Sebastionby bspurgeonComment by Melethia: He has the greatest eyes! And he looks like someone who really truly does enjoy life. I'm betting he is a fine young man with great things ahead of him. And I like the whole presentation here - the slight angle, the light at the top, the conversion. Very nicely done. |
